Breanne Kearney

Occupational Therapist

When your child’s brain and body feel out of sync, Breanne helps make sense of it.

When sensory challenges, big emotions, anxiety, trauma, or difficulties with regulation start getting in the way of everyday life, children and families can feel overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. Your child may seem easily overwhelmed, constantly on the go, shut down, highly sensitive, or disconnected from their body—and you may find yourself wondering, “Why is this happening, and how can I help?”

Breanne brings a unique understanding of both the brain and the body to help answer those questions. She combines her expertise in neuroscience, sensory processing, attachment, and neurodevelopment to understand what may be happening beneath the surface. Through play, movement, connection, and individualized therapy, she helps children feel safer in their bodies, better understand their experiences, and develop the skills they need to regulate and participate more fully in life.

Breanne is an Occupational Therapist and neuroscience researcher with more than 10 years of pediatric experience in schools, early intervention, and clinical settings. She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire, a Master of Research in Cognitive Neuroscience from University College London, and a PhD in Neuroscience from Western University—an exceptional combination of clinical and scientific expertise.

Her specialized training includes STAR Institute Sensory Processing Certification (Levels 1 and 2), Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Therapy (SMART), and the SOS Approach to Feeding. She works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing sensory processing differences, emotional regulation challenges, autism, ADHD, trauma, and attachment disruptions.

Breanne’s goal is not simply to help clients manage their challenges, but to help them understand themselves. By creating a compassionate and empowering environment, she helps clients and families build regulation, connection, confidence, and a greater sense of ease in everyday life.

Outside of work, music is Breanne’s soul. She enjoys playing piano as a creative outlet and makes a point of travelling to at least one new place each year to stay curious, inspired, and connected to the world around her.
