Runda Ebied
Occupational Therapist
When anxiety, sensory needs, and everyday challenges overlap, Runda sees the whole picture.
It can be overwhelming trying to understand why your child is struggling—or how to get the right support. Maybe their emotions seem bigger than they can manage, sensory challenges are getting in the way, school feels difficult, or everyday tasks like getting dressed, writing, or following routines have become a struggle. Parents can also find themselves wondering what is behind a child’s behaviour and how to respond in a way that actually helps.
Runda helps families make sense of these challenges and turn them into practical, manageable steps. She takes a compassionate, evidence-based, and holistic approach, helping parents better understand their child’s needs while giving them strategies they can use at home, at school, and in the community. With children, she focuses on building healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and greater awareness of their own needs.
Runda is a pediatric Occupational Therapist with extensive experience supporting children with social, fine-motor, learning, sensory-processing, and emotional-regulation needs. She has also worked extensively in mental health and is currently pursuing further education toward becoming a psychotherapist, giving her a unique perspective on the connection between occupational functioning and emotional well-being.
Her practice incorporates CBT, DBT-informed approaches, ACT, and play-based therapy, with play serving as an important way to build connection, safety, and skills. Runda works with children and teens ages 4–18, with particular experience supporting ADHD, autism, anxiety, sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine-motor and handwriting challenges, and activities of daily living.
Runda’s goal is to help children feel understood rather than misunderstood—and to help families leave therapy with greater clarity, confidence, and practical tools they can actually use.
Outside of work, Runda loves walking in nature and being near the water. She is also a published children’s book author!
