Why Play in Therapy Works
​Each of our social workers has specialized experience in pediatrics and uses developmentally appropriate, play-based approaches tailored to each child. Sessions may include art, movement, imaginative play, and fun sensory activities—all aimed at helping children express themselves, build coping skills, and feel empowered in a way that feels natural and supportive.

Our Connected-Care Approach supports both your child and the adults who guide their everyday world, helping progress happen faster and stick longer.

We start with three one-on-one counselling sessions for your child, followed by a virtual caregiver consultation. This caregiver session gives you space to ask questions, share concerns, and leave with clear, practical strategies you can use at home and beyond the therapy room. When caregivers are involved early, children feel more supported, confident, and understood.

To give your child the best possible outcomes, we ask families to schedule all four sessions at intake with the same counsellor. Consistency builds trust, strengthens the therapeutic relationship, and allows meaningful progress to begin right away. Booking in advance also helps secure your preferred time slot, which is important as availability can be limited.

Therapy works when it’s consistent — and this approach helps your child get rolling quickly, with the strongest foundation for lasting change. Appointments can be cancelled with 48 hours’ notice if plans change.
