Sydney Citro

Social Worker

Sydney is a Registered Social Worker and Registered Early Childhood Educator with over a decade of experience supporting children, youth, and families in settings such as child care, education, child welfare, and community mental health. She is passionate about supporting children, teens, parents, and adults navigating neurodivergence, depression, anxiety, family changes, bullying and friendships, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and trauma.

Sydney incorporates approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), and Circle of Security into her practice. She uses a trauma-informed, attachment-based, and neurodiversity-affirming lens when supporting clients.

Sydney’s approach is collaborative, flexible, and supportive. Her background in Early Childhood Education and knowledge of child development allow her to ensure that sessions are developmentally appropriate and engaging. She often incorporates play or art into sessions and also adapts sessions to client interests.
